Refund policy.

EFFECTIVE MAY 12, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back if you’ve paid for an OptimaVerifier plan. It is written to align with Paddle.com Market Limited’s invoiced consumer terms because Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all paid OptimaVerifier subscriptions. Where this policy is silent or where Paddle is required to make the final decision, Paddle’s terms apply.

TL;DR. Consumers may have a 14-day right to cancel after the initial subscription transaction, unless the digital-service exception applies. Outside mandatory consumer rights, refunds are handled by Paddle on a case-by-case basis and may be refused.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers paid OptimaVerifier subscriptions (monthly and annual). It does not cover free trial credits, which carry no monetary value and are not refundable.

If you bought through a reseller or a custom enterprise agreement, the refund terms in that agreement take precedence.

2. Your consumer right to cancel

If you are a consumer (i.e. you buy the subscription wholly or mainly for personal use), you may have the right to cancel your Paddle agreement and return the Product within 14 dayswithout giving a reason, unless the exception in section 3 applies. Paddle’s cancellation period expires 14 days from the day after completion of the transaction.

For subscription services, Paddle’s consumer cancellation right applies following the initial subscription, not each automatic renewal.

How to withdraw

Within the 14-day period, inform Paddle of your decision using a clear statement. You can:

  • Contact Paddle so they can process the cancellation directly;
  • Use Paddle’s model cancellation form or another clear, unambiguous statement through Paddle’s available communication channels; or
  • Email billing@optimaverifier.com with your account email and Paddle invoice number, and we will help route the request.

Sending the notice before the 14-day period ends is enough to meet Paddle’s cancellation deadline.

When the refund is paid

If you cancel under this right, Paddle will reimburse payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision. Paddle will use the same payment method you used for the initial transaction, and you will not incur fees because of the reimbursement.

3. Digital content exception

OptimaVerifier is digital content / a digital service. Paddle’s terms state that where a digital product is made immediately available, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your cancellation right once the download or applicable transmission of the digital content has begun.

Your cancellation right does not apply to:

  • Digital content you have started to download, stream, or otherwise acquire; or
  • Products or services you have already had the benefit of, including used verification credits.

4. Discretionary refunds

Outside mandatory consumer rights, Paddle provides refunds at its sole discretion on a case-by-case basis and may refuse a request. Paddle will refuse refund requests where it finds evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.

This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you may have for products that are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose. We can support Paddle’s review where there is:

  • Duplicate charges — we accidentally billed you twice for the same cycle.
  • Billing errors— you were charged a different amount than the plan you actually selected, or you were charged after a confirmed cancellation.
  • Unauthorised charges— the payment was placed without the cardholder’s authorisation. We may ask for evidence and may report the matter to the relevant authority.
  • Delivery problems— technical issues prevented or unreasonably delayed delivery of the Service; Paddle may decide that the remedy is replacement delivery or a refund of the price paid.

Requests should be submitted promptly to Paddle or to billing@optimaverifier.com. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

5. What is not refundable

  • Used credits— once a verification has been performed and a result returned, the credit consumed by that verification is non-refundable.
  • Unused subscription periods— Paddle’s terms state there are no refunds on unused subscription periods.
  • Free trial credits and other complimentary credit grants.

6. Cancellation vs. refund

Cancellingyour subscription stops the next renewal but does not, by itself, refund the current cycle. Paddle’s terms say subscription cancellation takes effect at the next payment date and that there are no refunds on unused subscription periods. To avoid renewal, Paddle asks that you cancel at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period and provide your order number plus the email address used to purchase the Product.

You can cancel from your billing dashboard or by contacting Paddle. If you want both to cancel and request a refund, say so when you contact us or Paddle and include your Paddle invoice or order number.

7. Sales tax refunds

If you were charged sales tax and are registered for sales tax in the country of purchase, you may be entitled to a refund of the sales tax amount where local law permits. Paddle requires you to contact them within 60 days after completing the purchase and provide a valid sales tax code for your country. Paddle does not process sales-tax refund requests received after 60 days from the transaction date.

8. Wire transfers

If you pay by wire transfer, you are responsible for providing the correct payment details, bank transfer reference, tax code, and order information. Paddle’s terms state that wire transfer orders are not protected under the Consumer Credit Act and are therefore not eligible for a refund, except that sales-tax refunds may be available in some cases at Paddle’s discretion.

9. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued by Paddle. Where Paddle’s consumer cancellation right applies, reimbursement is made to the same payment method used for the initial transaction. Settlement timing depends on your card issuer, bank, or payment provider.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The statutory withdrawal right described in section 2 cannot be reduced or waived by amendment where it applies. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect, and any subscription you purchased before the change is governed by the policy in force at the time of purchase, except where Paddle’s own terms or mandatory law require otherwise.
